Obituary

It is with great sadness that we share the news of Cathy’s passing. She left us very peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Although we already miss her terribly, we are comforted by our memories and will always remember her courage, compassion, humility and kindness. Cathy had a keen sense of humor and never lost her ‘Brooklyn’ swagger. She cherished her family above all and was a beacon of light to Jim, a devoted mother to Meredith, Mark and Jimmy, a kind and thoughtful mother in law to Susan and Kelley and worlds best Grandma to Kevin and Ryan. We will treasure her memory and never forget her kind and gentle spirit.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. In lieu of flowers, Cathy would have appreciated donations to the American Cancer Society.

  2. We remember how Cathy loved and cherished her family with every fiber of her being. Her sly, sparkly smile lit up many family events and we feel so fortunate to have the strength of those memories to get us through this loss…..because, you know….that is what she expects.
    Love,

  4. Hugh,Phyllis and family, send our love and condolences at this time. We have so many wonderful memories of Cathy; she was a helpful & generous bridesmaid at our wedding……a great hostess to our many family visits in N.J. & later in Ca. …….fun times in Banta’s,N.Y. & Bear Creek,Pa. Although our hearts are broken, we will always remember the Good Times ! Love to All .

  5. Our hearts are broken for your loss. We’ll always remember fondly our time spent together at many family celebrations. I think my favorite memory of Cathy is one I wasn’t even a part of. Kelley had asked Jim for permission to marry Meredith and his reply “you have to ask Cathy.” Sums up beautifully how integral she was in your lives. May all of the good memories give you comfort in the days to come. love, Michele & Jeff
