Obituary

Carrie Lue Keenan
February 21st, 1929 – November 28th, 2018

For Carrie the Holy veil has parted
She who walked in faith
Now lives by sight
With all the joy of God imparted
His love and His delight

She has not gone, but is gone ahead
Following where her Shepherd led
After wandering this world so long
Her mighty King has called her home

  1. My grandma was an amazing woman. She was strong, sensitive, and sometimes downright stubborn, which made her the incredible woman she was. I have so many fond memories of playing in her bathtub, putting on her makeup, going shopping, and going to the horse stables. I always had fun at her house.

Grandma – thank you for being who you were. I hope you’re enjoying time with my dad. Love you so much.

Carrie, a lovely woman who always loved and stood ready to comfort with her words of wisdom and support! We grieve not for her for now she is surrounded by the heavenly bliss of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We grieve for ourselves for we now experience the void of her presence, but we also look to see her again in the presence of Jesus.

Carrie was such a special friend to me from the beginning as we shared the same row on Sunday
mornings at Compass Bible Church. Carrie and Rowland asked Gary (my husband) and I to take them through the “Partners Program”. During this time Carrie and I shared so many wonderful things and heartaches too. I am really grateful for the closeness we had and her warm and open heart she shared with me.
I still love her and I am looking forward to seeing her again around the throne of Christ. We shared a wonderful love and closeness with Jesus.
    See you then Carrie,
    Judy Burgess

We will miss our dear Carrie and the great addition she was to the Keenan family. Our love and prayers to all the family and especially to my dear brother Rowland!

  5. I had the pleasure of knowing Carrie my whole life. She was a devoted friend and knew through Christ ,how to be a friend at those times when a friend was really needed.
Her special gift and ministry was shared with so many through the years experiencing illness and grief.
Through the hardships she suffered in her own life, she knew how to walk all the way with you.
Rest my dear Carrie, I will miss you so much, but will never forget what you taught me in life.
