Carolyn Ann (Allgood) McCombs, age 80, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, in Mission Viejo, California.

Carolyn was born on March 25, 1945, in Statesville, North Carolina, to Coite and Annie Allgood. She grew up surrounded by the love of her family and the joyful company of her two brothers, Lynn and Scottie. During her school years, she found a passion for softball, a sport she loved and excelled in.

Carolyn met the love of her life, E.G. McCombs, Jr., also from Statesville, and in 1966, they were married. Soon after, the couple relocated to California, where they welcomed two children, Pamela McCombs Bustos and Gil McCombs. Their family continued to grow as they warmly embraced their son-in-law, Jose, and daughter-in-law, Dana, loving them as their own. Carolyn and E.G. shared 38 years of devoted marriage until E.G.'s passing in 2004. Carolyn remained lovingly devoted to him for the rest of her life, carrying his memory in her heart always.

Carolyn was also a proud and deeply loving grandmother to Cassandra, Everette, Thomas, and Ryan, each of whom brought her immense joy throughout her life. She enjoyed lunch and breakfast outings with them over the years and having them to her house for weekend sleepovers. She "spoiled" them to no end, especially during Christmas, her favorite holiday.

Carolyn touched countless lives with her kindness and generosity. Her family and friends will forever remember the warmth she brought into every room, her thoughtful spirit, and the devotion she showed to those she loved. She is deeply missed by all who knew her.
