Obituary

Carole Jean Platkowski, 88, of Laguna Niguel, passed away at her home on August 7, 2020 after a long illness.  Her husband Ted was with Carole as she ascended to heaven from this earth.

She is survived by her sister, Suzanne Quimby and her late husband Tom, and nieces Mary and Michael McHugh; Sheri and Craig Emmans, all who reside in MN.

Carole was born April 3, 1932 in Green Bay, WI of parents, Tom & Mildred (Miller) Le Sage.  Carole & Ted grew up together in Wisconsin and went to school & church together.  She was married to Ted Platkowski on December 31, 1955 at “The Cathedral Church.”

She went to St. Joseph’s School, grades 1-8, Green Bay.  Also Academy High School for Catholics.

Carole was employed by IH as a Secretary, both in Green Bay and Detroit.  Later on she worked as an accounts payable secretary for Warner Lambert and Pfizer in California.

Carole loved the outdoors, and enjoyed gardening and listening to music

Her life saw many household moves and she didn’t like moving, but as a loving wife always went along.  Of 7 moves, with new homes all over, the move to Hawaii where she lived for 7 years was where she enjoyed living the most!  She joined the “Hula Club Dancers” and was excellent at it.

Carole also traveled all over the world and extremely enjoyed it.  She liked Bangkok, Japan and South America the most.

Carole was a beautiful wife and found joy in being married and caring for the ones she loved.  She was a devoted wife and was loved by everyone she met.

    Dear Aunt Carole,

I remember you as an elegant caring aunt. You would always call me doll and princess. You and Uncle Ted bought me a canopy bed for my pink room. I have fond memories of spending time with you and uncle Ted. You always made things special. Although I will miss you very much, I know you are in a better place with no more suffering.

i love you. Rest in peace.

    Sheri XOXOXOXO
