Carol Ann Sudek was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on January 31, 1947 to Lucille and Jake Sudek. Growing up, she lived many years in Tacoma, WA. Carol had a sweet and pleasant disposition which helped her adapt to living all over the country as her dad was transferred with his job. She came with her family to Orange County in 1971 and settled in Huntington Beach.

Carol was developmentally disabled and lived with family most of her life. She participated in the sheltered workshops Elwyn, Vocational Visions, and the Rehabilitation Institute of Orange County. She enjoyed the social interaction and participated in activities and community outings. She especially liked bowling and "hamburger lunches" on Fridays! In recent years she even learned to use a computer and send email.

Carol loved the Beatles and Elvis, and was fortunate to be able to see both in concert. She had a good sense of humor and loved watching "I Love Lucy" reruns. She enjoyed traveling and made trips to Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Branson, among other places with New Horizons. She also made many trips over the years to New Jersey to visit her aunt, uncle and cousins.

Carol's greatest gifts were her big, beautiful smile and her easy-going temperament. She was always happy and appreciative of every little thing.
