Carol Granone
Manger
February 1, 1953 – January 31, 2022
Carol Granone Manger
A beautiful angel was sent to Heaven on January 31, 2022. Carol; just one day short of her 69 th birthday, passed away from the breathing problems of ALS which her brave soul had endured for the last few months of her life.
Carol was born in Inglewood, CA on February 1, 1953 to Italian parents. Her father Joseph, who was born in Bisaccia, Italy, was a successful farm owner in Long Beach where Carol was raised.
Carol graduated from the USC Dental Hygiene program in 1976, the same year her future husband Charles graduated from the USC Medical School. Carol worked in Dental Hygiene for four years, but then dedicated her next twenty years to raising her three blessed children- Chris, Laurie and Joey. Then Carol spent the last twenty years as a dedicated LASIK Counseling team member at the family's Saddleback Eye Center.
Carol was a quiet and gracious person with a gentle spirit, who valued people telling the truth. She had a strong and unwavering faith in the Roman Catholic Church. Carol attended Mass every Sunday and on the holy days of obligation. She was a beautiful soul who was frequently reading the Bible and other religious books. She wore several religious necklaces; she had a few rosary beads- one blessed by Pope Benedict. She had a love for many Saints, including Faustina and Dymphna. In the bedroom where she spent the last few months of her life, she had several religious books and papers, a crucifix, many religious necklaces, and two rosary beads as well as holy water, which was used to bless her every night.
The world has lost Carol's consistent genuine kindness and warm heart.
