Obituary

Carol Lee Jones
September 14, 1933 – February 19, 2023

Carol Lee Jones (nee Lockett) was taken to be with her Lord and Savior on February 19, 2023. She was surrounded by her four children at the end of her long and fruitful life.  The hospital team at Hoag Irvine went above and beyond to make her and her children comfortable with their compassion and kindness.

Carol graduated from Huntington Beach High School in 1951. She was active in The Order of the Eastern Star and Job’s Daughters for many years. She encouraged the girls with love and positivity. She remained friends with many of them and they called her Mom Jones. She was an avid Lakers fan. She loved her family and her constant canine companion, Lucy.

She is survived by her four children; Debbie Tallman (Skip), Jan Radford, Scott Ellis (Debbie) and Carrie Mortensen. She is also survived by her two sisters Gail Prims (Ken) and Linda Richmond. She loved her four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and was able to visit with them last August.

Join us in celebrating the life of Carol Jones on April 22, 2023 at 2PM at the Huntington Beach Masonic Center, 601 Palm Ave (corner of Lake and Palm). Our mom was an avid Lakers fan and purple and gold were her favorite colors. If you wish, please honor her by wearing purple for the celebration.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Shriners Children’s Hospitals at:
