Obituary
Kendall, Carol Elizabeth, loving wife, mother and grandmother of Laguna Hills, passed away November 20, 2011 after a two-year battle with cancer. Carol was born in 1948 in Long Beach, California. She graduated from Gardena High School in 1966 and went on to El Camino College to receiver her certificate for Cosmetology in 1968. It was at El Camino College where she met the love of her life, Dale G. Kendall and the two were married August 17, 1968 in Redondo Beach, California. They had their first child, a son, Dale Scott in 1969 and then were blessed with a daughter, Michelle Rene’ in 1971. They moved to Laguna Hills in 1972 where they continued to live until present. The couple had two more beautiful daughters, Cheryl Nicole in 1977 and Kristen Elizabeth in 1983 to complete their family. For over 35 years, Carol ran a day care out of her home, lovingly caring for well over 100 children during that time. She could light up the room with her smile, vivacious personality and contagious zest for life no one will be able to duplicate. Carol had friends from every walk of life and was loved by many. She will be missed terribly by those who love her.
Carol is survived by her husband, Dale; children, Scott Kendall, Michelle Kennedy, Cheryl Menchaca and Kristen Kastl; seven grandchildren, Logan, Kendall, William, Chase, Mary, Gabriel and Gwendyln; and three son-in-laws, Joe, Bryan and Eric.

I was only fortunate to be able to meet Carol once, late in her battle. I know that when I met her, she was in a lot of pain, but still managed to be beautiful outside and in. In the 1 hour I was able to be with her and her family and get to know her she made me feel welcomed, was outgoing, and had a wonderful sense of humor. I know that her family is going to miss her dearly. She touched my life and I barely knew her. Rest in peace Carol, you deserve it!

Carol was a wonderful lady. She took care of our daughter Natalie since she was 5 1/2 months old and was absolutely giddy when we welcomed our son Drew into the world as if he was one of her own grandchildren. Our kids were happy and felt so loved by her and everything she did for them. I’ll never forget her smile and she was always dressed up at 7 in the morning when I’d drop my kids off. She was a special lady and a big part of our kids lives for 4 years…….wish we could’ve introduced her to our newest son Tristan. We’ll miss you Carol. Our deepest condolences to Dale and her family.

Carol will be missed by the Anderson-Clausen family. We feel like she raised our two children, Kyla and Noah from when they were only 6 weeks old. She was the best at making them feel loved and cared for in every way for the 9+ years that she watched the kids. We felt so special when we were allowed to bring the kids over even after they started school! We have so many fond memories – the kids still remember how nice their hair was fixed and every day Kyla would have a gorgeous hairdo with a different barette or hair clip.
There isn’t a holiday that goes by that we don’t think of Carol and Dale. Their house was decorated so beautifully for every holiday.
Thank you for the memories that we will cherish forever!
Our heartfelt love and sympathy to you Dale and your beautiful children.
