Obituary
Carol Diane Burch was born on February 24, 1961 in Atlanta, Georgia to the parents of Harold and Marilyn Burch and sister of Noel Burch.
Carol was in electronic sales for WPGAmericas and loved to spend time with her children, travel, watch movies, be with friends, eat ice cream, and play bunco! She was the most loving individual with the biggest heart. Every time she walked into a room her smile lit up the entire room. Everyone felt her love through her acts of kindness and the way she would drop everything to be there for you. She was a very unselfish and humble person. She was so well traveled and loved to experience new places. Her dream was to go to South Africa on a safari. Her children Matt and Alyssa were her everything. The love she had for her children and her pets Milkdud and Tinkerbell were undeniable. Forever in our hearts, she will be missed by so many and never forgotten.

Carol was my locker partner at Plum Grove Junior High School in Rolling Meadows, IL. I loved sharing a locker with her. She made me laugh and she was always smiling. I seem to remember that she lived in Plum Grove Estates, too.
I chanced upon Carol’s obituary when I was absent-mindedly looking up old friends and colleagues (one of the few things it’s easy to do during Covid-19 ). I recognized her immediately, even though the last time I saw her was probably more than 45 years ago. I am so sorry for your loss. Carol was a force of nature, a person who drew everyone into her orbit. I cannot even imagine how much you must miss her.
Kind regards,
Rosemary

I grew up across the street from Carol in Plum Grove Estates and went to school with her. She was bright and pretty and very spunky. Most of all, I will remember riding the bus with her and at one of the stops there was a little girl with a learning disability that was very scared and nervous. Carol took her under her wing and made sure she was comfortable and sat with her on the bus. She referred to this little girl as her “little buddy” and they girl could not have been more excited to see her and sit with her. As much as kids want to seem cool or tough, Carol put everything else aside for those bus rides to make sure this girl was OK. I am sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how much she is missed. I know there is a woman that grew up in Palatine that will never forget her and neither will I.

8/25/2021- I am shocked. I had a vivid intense dream about Carol last night. It made me do this search and now here I am saddened. Carol was my Girlfriend my Junior year at Monta Vista. Years later we met up in 2006 and had a wonderful relationship. Due to the distance, from the Bay Area to SoCal,
by 2008 we just couldn’t keep up the romance. We had such great times !!!! My heart goes out to Matt and Alyssa. She spoke out about you guys all the time. Good bye my Love Carol….You were one of the loves of my life.
