Obituary
Kewell, Carol Ann of Ladera Ranch. Our beloved mother and grandmother went to be with our Lord Sunday, June 22, at the age of 74 with her 3 children by her side.
Born July 9, 1933 in Long Beach, Ca. Mom grew up there and later moved to Arcadia where she was a 1951 graduate of Monrovia-Arcadia-Duarte High School.
At the age of 18, she married her high school sweetheart, Bill Kewell, Jr., and their marriage lasted for 36 years until Bill’s untimely death in 1988. They lived in West Covina for 22 years before moving back to her place of birth in 1982.
Mom was a beautiful, intelligent woman whose spirit and love enriched the lives of all who knew her. Mom loved nothing more than spending time with her kids, grandkids, and more recently, her two great-granddaughters, whom she visited often on iChat. She was passionate about classical music, reading, spending time at the beach and doing the New York Times crossword puzzle every day in ink. Mom was very gifted at needlepoint as well.
She supported many charitable causes including CHOC, where she volunteered for many years, libraries, and school music programs. She also was an ardent and generous supporter of the University of Southern California Fight On!.
Mom is survived by her three children, Bill Kewell, III, Elizabeth Kewell Davis and Karen Kewell Jacoby, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her beloved sister Joan Randall.

Karen and Liz, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a terrific woman as I recall…she was immensely proud of her girls. You are both blessed to have had the mother you did for so long. I really want to send you my love and sympathy today. Always, monica scanlan steinberger

Karen,
There aren’t any words that truly comfort you when you experience such a loss. You and your Mother had such a wonderfully close relationship, and for me, seeing you together in NYC on your birthday and at your wedding was a pleasure. It was obvious that you made each other happy and simply enjoyed each other’s company.
Please know that I’m thinking about you and praying for you and your family.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Shel

What a beautiful life she lived and she left behind an amazing legacy of wonderful children and family. Sending this with warm hugs and tears, and a smile on my heart in remembering a beautiful life, Susan, your loving cousin
