Obituary

It is with a sad heart that we have to inform our family and friends of the passing of Carol Anderson. She was in good health, but God chose to take her peacefully while she slept. She was born January 9, 1943 and died on January 2, 2018. Carol is survived by her husband, Mel Anderson; her daughter, Cary DeShon and husband Mitch; and son Richard Ashby and wife Kim. Her four grandchildren Carlee, Julia, Jenica and Jason were her pride and joy.

Her service will be at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, 31641 LaNovia Ave., San Juan Capistrano on January 27 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Margaret’s memorial fund and a paver will be purchased in her honor to be placed in the memorial garden.

I was so very blessed to meet Carol and Mel on my trip to Egypt. We spent several hours taking photos on the top deck
Of the boat as we traveled down the Nile. One night after dinner there was a contest and I can still see Mel wrapping Carol in toilet paper as she twirled round and around to look like a Mummy! We decided then we would all take a trip to India. So Carol got some of her friends and organized a trip to India. That set the stage for the next for the next 8 wonderful years to come. Carol was adventurous, full of laughter and so much fun to be with. She was kind, thoughtful and generous and so proud of her family. Thank you Carol for all the wonderful adventures , I will miss you so but you will always be in my heart!

  4. LOVE FOREVER. SHE LEFT US TOO EARLY

  5. Carol was still subbing for us at Vista Verde. Same wonderful smile and love of children. I’m remembering my students checking out at the library. Her helping Alan Growth and me find rainy day videos, and helping kids in the computer lab at ETMS.
Love you Carol. Bless you Mel
