TO: Carl’s Mother, Father, and Brother
I may have never met you, but I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, as I know the time will heal all. As I said in my first post Carl truly held family, especially you all close. As I look back at my memories I recall moments that he had mentioned you all.
    Please except my condolences.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of a great friend. Carl and I met back in 1999 when I worked for ARRC. We found one day that we had some of the same music taste, and he found out that I was a DJ as we got to know each other. Not a week went by that he didn’t ask me when I was going to send him a CD of one of my mix sets I can be a procrastinator. The first time we met in person I had to give him a CD that was not finished with a cover and case I like things to be perfect; We had dinner and he wouldn’t let me get back up north Bakersfield until I gave him the CD. Carl was one of the few people who kept me going when it came to mixing and producing my music. He always wanted more, and even when I thought a session was horrible he still made me feel that it was great. Carl had great ambitions and high expectations, which were inspiring to me, and I am sure others’. Always working on a way to better his life and complete his goals. It is a tragedy that his mission was stopped short or being completed, as I know he would have conquered it all in time. Please forgive the military in me.
Carl was there for me when I had some very tough times and was on the urge of falling off of the cliffs of life, and to that I will always be grateful.
Most people I know are acquaintances’ and end up fading away but Carl was a true friend that will never go away in my heart. Even after I moved out of California we continued to communicate and were for ever trying to work out times for a visit, and even though it was not weekly he would always ask when I was going to get him my next mix set.
To any one that knew him his family meant the world to him, and he mentioned them often. As his family will, I will always remember what a great friend and family member Carl was to all of us.
I am positive he will continue to watch over us…
Take care, and as I know he would want us to; continue mission!!!

  5. Our hearts are hurting for you and with you. We hope memories will help sustain you now and in the future. You are in our prayers.
