CANDICE MARIE WHEELHOUSE
BORN IN HARBOR CITY, CALIFORNIA
ON JANUARY 12, 1978
GOD CALLED HER HOME ON OCTOBER 15, 2010
IN LAGUNA HILLS, CALIFORNIA
CANDICE MARIE WHEELHOUSE, 32, WAS THE OLDEST OF THREE DAUGHTERS BORN TO DOUG & CINDY WHEELHOUSE ON JANUARY 12, 1978 IN HARBOR CITY, CALIFORNIA.
HER EARLY YEARS SHE LIVED IN LAWNDALE AND LATER MOVED TO LAGUNA HILLS WITH HER FAMILY WHEN SHE WAS 8. SHE GRADUATED FROM LAGUNA HILLS HIGH SCHOOL IN 1996.
AFTER HIGH SCHOOL, SHE STARTED OUT WORKING AS A RECEPTIONIST FOR KAISER. SHE REALLY ENJOYED THE MEDICAL FIELD. SHE EVEN WENT ON TO SCHOOL FOR ‘ULTRA SOUND TECHNICIAN.’ THIS PAVED THE WAY FOR HER WORKING AS A SCHEDULER IN THE RADIOLOGY DEPARTMENT AT A HOSPITAL IN SAN CLEMENTE.
SEVERAL YEARS AGO SHE MOVED TO SAN CLEMENTE AND RECENTLY RETURNED TO LIVE IN LAGUNA HILLS, CA.
SHE PORTRAYED HER OWN SPECIAL FASHION EVEN BEFORE IT WAS IN STYLE. SHE WAS A LOVING AND ‘TEASABLE’ DAUGHTER; A FUN FILLED SISTER; A SPECIAL AND CARING SOULMATE; AND AN ADORING, LOVABLE GRANDDAUGHTER.
SHE LOVED TO SHOP! SHE DIDN’T SPEND A LOT, BUT IF SHE HAD THE TIME, SHE WOULD SHOP EVERY DAY. SHE ENJOYED READING BOOKS, MOSTLY THE THRILLER, MYSTERY TYPE. SHE LOVED TO SPEND HER EVENINGS WATCHING MOVIES OR ALSO GOING OUT TO THE MOVIES WITH SHANNON. ONE OF HER FAVORITE THINGS TO DO WAS TO GO OUT TO DINNER WITH ALL THE FAMILY. SHE HAD LOTS OF FUN VISITING LAS VEGAS AND ALSO, THIS PAST YEAR, SHE AND SHANNON HAD A PASS TO THE SAN DIEGO ZOO AND WENT AS OFTEN AS THEY COULD.
GOD CALLED HER HOME SUDDENLY AND TOO SOON. CANDICE WILL TRULY BE MISSED BY HER PARENTS, DOUG & CINDY WHEELHOUSE; HER SISTERS, TIFFANY WHEELHOUSE, BRITTANY BOYD; HER BROTHER-IN-LAW, DANA BOYD; HER NEPHEW, HUNTER BOYD; HER MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER, PEGGY WICK; AND HER BOYFRIEND AND SOULMATE, SHANNON HALEY; ALONG WITH MANY AUNTS, UNCLES, AND COUSINS.
A ROSARY/VISITATION WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2010 AT 7:00 PM AT O’CONNOR MORTUARY IN LAGUNA HILLS.
A MASS TO CELEBRATE HER LIFE WILL BE HELD AT ST. KILIAN’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, MISSION VIEJO ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2010 AT 10:00 AM.
FINAL RESTING PLACE ASCENSION CEMETERY, LAKE FOREST, CALIFORNIA.
THE FAMILY WANTS TO THANK ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN A PART OF CANDICE’S LIFE; FAMILY, FRIENDS, CO-WORKERS, AND ESPECIALLY SHANNON WHO LOVED HER WITH ALL HIS HEART.
THE FAMILY IS ALSO THANKFUL FOR THE KIND ASSISTANCE, SUPPORT AND COMFORT OF THE STAFFS AT SADDLEBACK MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, O’CONNOR MORTUARY AND ST. KILLIAN CATHOLIC CHURCH.

Candice – you will be missed. I’m so sad that I hadn’t spent more time with you recently, but I have many fond memories. You were such a pretty little girl, with curls and fancy dresses. You brought so much entertainment to our family as a teenager with your individualistic style of dress and makeup : Then as an adult – still such a pretty girl! Your smile at Kristy & David and Danielle & Kyle’s weddings as you watched the festivities will always be a favorite memory – especially when we tried to get you to dance. We are all sad you are gone, but also happy because you were in our lives. You will always be in our hearts. Love, Aunt Mary

Daddy’s beautiful Candida, I talk to you everyday when I visit. I promised you that I will never miss a day unless I’m not in town. My heart aches and I miss you dearly. I’m very proud of you and really enjoyed our time together watching our TV programs we both liked. I don’t watch TV in the mornings much since your not here, I rather spend the time sitting with you before I go to work. Your forever in my heart. Love Daddy

My beautiful Candida, we missed you at Xmas, it just wasn’t the same. It was hard on Mommy and me. We went to Brittany’s and Hunter took our mind of you for awhile but then the emotions started to flow. Mom spent 2 days in bed grieving for you and I spent the time walking in the snow outside. It was cold!!! We love you and miss you so much!!! I’ll be there in the morning, I got you new flowers at work tonight. Love forever, Daddy

Candice,
A special light in our lives has gone out, but the light of your memory is burning bright in our hearts. At this Christmas season, our thoughts turn to you and our memories of so many Christmases past are a vivid reminder of all the good times we have shared.
You will always be a part of our Christmas as though you were sitting on the couch visiting with everyone and laughing. Seeing you in pictures from Danielle’s wedding puts a smile on our faces. We love you and will forever hold you in our hearts. Give your Dad a hug perhaps the wind blowing around his shoulders and let him know that you are okay. Love & Hugs,
