IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Byron Jonathan
Beam
January 18, 1939 – October 17, 2024
It is with great sadness that the family of Byron Jonathan Beam announces his peaceful passing the morning of Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the age of 85.
Byron was born in Hollywood, CA January 18, 1939, to Charles and Norma Naomi Beam. A member of the Phi Delta Phi fraternity, he received his Bachelor of Science degree from USC graduating Cum Laude in 1961. He went on to graduate from UC Berkley's prestigious School of Law in 1964. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1965 and proudly practiced Law until 2019. Byron had many career accomplishments including being an Adjunct Professor for Pepperdine School of Law, Judge Pro Tem, Orange County Superior Court, Chairman, Board of Directors for the American Bar Association and the State Bar of California, and Co-Founding Partner of Beam, Brobeck, West, Rosa and Associates.
Though Byron had many professional accomplishments, he would consider his family his greatest of all. Byron met Donna, the love of his life, in Corona Del Mar, CA. They were married in 1975 at Lagunita Beach in Laguna Beach, CA. They made their home at Lagunita for 40 years. Becoming a father with the births of his children Jeffrey and Jennifer, Byron entered a new chapter in life. As the children came, his focus changed, his patience was tested, his faith strengthened, and his pride grew immeasurably. Byron and Donna's support for their children's passions, interests, and dreams never wavered. The love they gave unconditionally was constant in their home. Byron and Donna enjoyed a full life until her passing July 2023.
Byron enjoyed sailing, motorcycle riding, traveling, spending time at home with family and friends, volunteering at their church, and the quest for the best burger (though none would prove to be better than Donna's).
Byron will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jeffrey and Jennifer, grandchildren, Julian, Lucian and Declan, siblings Craig, Carl, Scott, and Julie, extended family members and lifelong friends.
