Bruce Alan Roberts, 61, of San Clemente, passed away July 21st.
He was born to the late Thomas and Lola Roberts, June 21, 1951, in New York City. Bruce graduated from Bergen Technical High School in 1970 and started his own roofing company. He married Carol Shelley in 1974, and they lived together in New Milford, NJ, before relocating to Phoenix AZ, and lastly residing in Orange County, CA.
Bruce worked 18 years at W.E. O’Neil as a Construction Superintendent. He was passionate about his work and was a mentor to all.
Bruce loved to travel, eat-out, and spend quality time with family and friends. His greatest joy was his four grandchildren: Noah, Avery, Caden and Levi.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife Carol and his three children: Danielle Capacete, of Lake Forest; Shaun Roberts, of Temecula; and Lindsey Mattis of San Clemente. He is also survived by two wonderful brothers Kenneth and Thomas.
Bruce was an honest, hardworking and fantastic man. He touched many throughout his lifetime. Through his battle with cancer he was brave, courageous, and stoic. His family takes great comfort knowing that he is resting in Paradise with our Lord Jesus. His physical presence will be missed but his spirit will live on!
A viewing will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at O’Connor Mortuary located in Laguna Hills. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Santiago de Compostela Catholic Church in Lake Forest, CA.
