IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brian Richard
Williams
February 22, 1956 – November 23, 2024
Brian Richard Williams passed away on November 23rd, 2024, at the age of 68. He was born in Glendale, CA in 1956 to Joyce Nagley and Loren Williams. He grew up in California, and lived in Irvine for the past 30 years. Brian was extremely kind and good-hearted. He was a loving son, brother, father, and granddad, and practiced his deep faith in Christianity.
Brian was very close with his older brother, Mark, and enjoyed playing together in their rock band. He enjoyed helping his father make and fly model airplanes. While the family moved from Palos Verdes to Huntington Beach and Newport Beach, he stayed close friends with Jerry Spaulding. After studying photography at Orange Coast College, he worked in circuit board manufacturing in Silicon Valley while living in San Francisco.
Brian loved technology, music, and in his younger years also enjoyed woodworking and photography. His excitement for the internet in the 90's led him to find a Dutch band, the Nits, and join their online fan club. For his 40th birthday, he took the entire family to Europe to attend a concert, meet the band, and tour their recording studio.
After a few years of being a dedicated stay-at-home parent, Brian sought to combine his knowledge of technology and music with a desire to spend more time with his family, and created Williams Recording. He recorded school concerts (many including one or more of his children), meticulously edited every click, cough, and cricket away, and sold copies to the schools and parents. He later collaborated on many projects with his longtime business partner, Alan Lee. Brian extended his love and gift for technology to his church, helping with the website and audio recordings.
Brian leaves behind his children, Jackie Tarhan, Kevin Williams, David Williams, and Jonathan Williams; grandchildren Kylie Tarhan, Kelsey Tarhan, and Alice Williams; and ex-wife and close friend Debbie Hoover.
