Brian Richard Tansey, 76, was born May 31, 1934 in Los Angeles, CA and passed away April 27, 2011 in Mission Viejo, CA.

He served ten years in the United States Marine Corps earning the rank of Sergeant. Brian was the longtime owner of Mechanical Marine Center in Dana Point, CA.

Brian is survived by his daughters Noreen Dr. Mark Kasow Waite and Lara Mark Gray; step-daughter Dena Del Balzo; father Patrick James Tansey; brothers Owen Mary Tansey and Kevin Jeanne Tansey; sisters Mary Pat Desmond Curran and Margaret Joseph Cupini; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Brian was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Tansey; mother Mary Agnes Tansey; sister Kathleen Hennessy and son Brian Patrick Tansey. Family was very important to Brian. He was also very proud of his Irish heritage and loved all things Irish.

A Viewing will take place Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 11:00am-1:00pm at O'Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Pkwy, Laguna Hills, CA. The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 3:00pm at St. Margaret of Scotland Episcopal Church, 31641 La Novia, San Juan Capistrano, CA. A reception will follow at the Dana Point Yacht Club, 24399 Dana Drive, Dana Point, CA 949 496-2900.
