Obituary

The Bible says in James 1:17, “Every good and perfect gift is from above”.  Brandon Luke Smith, born February 17, 1989 was a “good and perfect gift from above” to so many.  He was smart, kind, loving, thoughtful, funny, loyal, talented, athletic and so much more.

But one thing that everyone would say about Brandon was that he loved the Lord Jesus Christ.  We are so thankful that Brandon is now in the presence of the Lord.

Brandon tragically left the earth at age 32 on March 25, 2021. He is survived by his mother Christie Smith, his father Greg Smith and his brother Riley Smith as well as his large extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.  He brought so much joy to all of our lives.

Brandon loved to read, he was an excellent, hardworking athlete and he encouraged so many through daily Bible verse texts and verbally.  He also loved to sing hymns and could even rap and beatbox.

We will miss his hugs, his smile and funny personality.  Please feel free to share below what Brandon meant to you.  Your words will bring encouragement to the many lives Brandon had touched.

  1. I grew up alongside Brandon at EV Free Laguna Hills, now Christ Community Church Laguna Hills. He was a fun-loving person who enjoyed bringing laughter and joy to others. All of my memories of Brandon involve these qualities. I am very sorry to hear of this loss and look forward to seeing him again one day

I cannot find the right words to ease your pain of losing Brandon. No cure for a parents broken heart except the memories shared. I remember holding Brandon when he was born. Sounds like he had a great friendship with God who has taken him to a place where peace and love is forever. You will see his smiling face waiting for you and sharing his love forever as God takes you to join Brandon forever.

  3. I will love you and miss you forever my son

  4. Patty Kutter says:

Rest in peace Brandon. Sympathies and prayers to the family.
