Blanche W. Pakele

Born April 8, 1928 in Honomu, Hawaii to Marion and Louisa Tavares, Blanche W. Pakele went home to be with the Lord on January 22, 2014 in Trabuco Canyon, CA after a long and productive life well lived. She loved and cherished her large family and greatly treasured her friends. During her long nursing career, she worked in private duty and in many hospitals. She was multi-talented, dancing hula and singing with a beautiful voice. She was an outstanding cook with a true gift of hospitality.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip, and their eldest son, Philip Jr., and is survived by her son, Gary (Marilyn) of Reno, NV; her daughter, Pamela Crawford (Gregory) of Lancaster, CA; her daughter, Cara Heitmann (Garry) of Trabuco Canyon, CA; her son, Peter of Dallas, TX; her grandchildren, Jim Nowlin Jr.(Delfina), Briana Crawford, Zach Heitmann, Luke Pakele, Holly Heitmann, Jacob Pakele, John Antonino, Lisa Gifford; and her many nieces and nephews.

Her memorial mass will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Santiago de Compostela Catholic Church, Lake Forest, CA with a celebration of her life immediately following at the Dove Canyon Country Club in Trabuco Canyon, CA.
