Obituary

Blanche Netzela was born in Bellview, Missouri on April 10, 1911, the daughter of Anson and Eva Horton McMurtrey. She passed away in December 27, 2004, a resident of Orange County, California, at the age of 93 years, 8 months and 17 days.

She married Herman G. Netzela of St. Louis, on December 20, 1930 in Collinsville, Illinois. Herman preceded her in death July 5, 1992.

Blanche and Herman located to California in the late 1930’s, where Herman was employed as a Construction Superintendent in large scale projects. Blanche was employed as an Administrative Assistant for Century Metal Craft, a popular cook ware of the time. She frequently appeared on television with Chef Milani, touting the fine qualities of the cook ware.

After retirement, Blance and Herman enjoyed many years escorting tours throughout the United States and Europe.

Blance was very active and involved in the United Methodist church and worked Interdemoninationally with the total church and church women united, serving in administrative capacities.

Blance was an elegant, sophisticated lady, who was always abreast of the current styles and she was a delightful addition to any gathering.

She as preceded in death by her parents, Anson and Eva McMurtrey, her sisters; Bearice McMurtrey and Edna McMurtrey Shangreatux, and her brother, Paul McMurtrey.

She is survived by her brother, Anson E. McMurtrey of Arvada, Colorado eight nieces and seven nephews.

Services intrusted to O’Connor Laguna Hills Mortuary, Laguna Hills, California and Britton Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

Interment – Horton Cemetery, Belgrade, Missouri.
