Obituary

Beverly Wells Ackaret passed away peacefully the evening of August 12, 2018 at her home in Mission Viejo, CA. She was born November 17, 1929 in Kansas City, MO to Grace and Roy Wells. Survived by her daughters from her first marriage to Robert Atkinson; Sherry Choquette (husband Lee) and Sandy Nolte (husband Chris); her grandchildren; Katie Charlston (husband Kevin), Sammy Choquette (husband Andrew) and Kevin McCoy and her great-grandchildren Cole and Addie Charlston.  With numerous extended friends that were like family including Art Choquette, Gail Choquette, Geri Thyholt, Mandy and Harper Morrison who were embraced in her arms. Beverly was predeceased by her husband Bob Ackaret with whom she loved to snowbird with in their RV and her brother Bill Wells. Throughout her life she lived in New York, England, Missouri, Kansas, Washington, Arizona and California. She owned her own catering business, The Caterers, for 10 years and a children’s consignment store, Wear It Again, Sam!. for 15 years. She had a love for anything creative (including tole painting, cake decorating and quilting), kite flying and spending time with her grandkids.  A celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Seattle, WA closer to her friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity. The family wishes to thank all nurses, caregivers, friends and family that have been there in support of Beverly since the passing of her husband in 2011.

  4. Beautiful obit, Sherry…..thanks for sharing it. I remember both your folks from when you and Sandy arrived to Cheney from Goose Bay, Labrador and we were all in Jobies together. Lots of wonderful memories 🙂

    I am. So sorry for the loss of your mom. I wish I knew what to say to ease the pain in your heart. Hold onto all of the memories keep them close to your heart. Find comfort in knowing that one day you’ll see her again.
