BEVERLY JOYCE CHRISTENSEN (Age 84)

Of Mission Viejo, CA, passed away peacefully in her home on August 30, 2015. Born on July 30, 1931 in Los Angeles, CA, she was the oldest child of Ivy and Bernard Lehberg. She was raised in South Gate and graduated from South Gate High School in 1949.

Joyce is remembered for her kindness, generous heart, and beautiful sense of humor. She was a friend of many and a guardian angel to more. Her hobbies included pinochle, cribbage, and sharing stories with her friends.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Howard "Specks" Christensen, and three children: Eric, Heidi, and Kirk. She leaves behind her younger brother, Jack, and sister-in-law, Sandy. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Brick, Erica, Katherine, and Rossa.
