Obituary

Beverley Jane Gutweiler was born February 10, 1924. She was raised by her loving mother Mabel Wilson, her caring Aunt Emma, Uncle George, and most importantly her Grandfather William Bannon who she talked about daily in her final days. Together they shared a one bedroom apartment in Hollywood, California where she went to Fairfax High School. It was after high school, when our dad was on leave from the Army Air Corps that they reconnected and fell in love. They soon married on July 13, 1946.

Beverley and Larry were blessed to have 4 sons and 2 daughters. They worked tirelessly to raise us to be upstanding adults who loved family and God. It is because of our mother’s deep faith that we all grew to know the Lord and incorporate Him in our daily lives.

Beverley has 11 grandchildren. There are 6 granddaughters and 5 grandsons. Thankfully all were able to say their final goodbyes to their grandmother before her passing. In addition she was blessed to see 2 great grandsons born who are now almost 3 years old and 1 and ½.

Her life has blessed our family in so many ways. Her caring spirit, selfless demeanor, warm heart, and listening ear will always be treasured by all of us. In her 40’s she was able to take up some hobbies of her own. Soon she was taking French cooking lessons, playing golf, active in Marriage Encounter and Cursillo. It was fun to watch her blossom outside of the home and we know her zest for life impacted many along the way.

Our mom devoted her whole life to our family and our father. She lived her life as a godly woman and that is what we will remember most about her. We will cherish you for forever mom and am so happy you are now reunited with dad in heaven.

We love you mom dearly..You are simply irreplaceable.
