Betty Lorraine Griffiths Steele Greenlee Schneider, age 91, passed away on Thursday June 23rd in Lake Forest, Ca.

Betty was born Jan. 1, 1920 in San Diego, Ca. to Evan and Myrtle Griffiths. She lived in San Diego, graduating from Hoover High School, until her retirement from San Diego City schools in the 1980's. She moved to Orange County to be closer to her children, Kathy Herrmann Robert, Patty Brookings Michael, and Thomas Steele Kathleen.

Betty was predeceased by three husbands, Robert Steele the father of her children, Lane Greenlee, and Fred Schneider. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. She had 9 grandchildren, Michael Herrmann Sandie Drinkward, Jeffrey Herrmann Holly, David Brookings, Jeremy Steele Lauren, Katie Herrmann Hoon Koo, Tim Steele Megan, Jon Brookings Michelle, Bethany Maddox Jeff, and Ryan Steele. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and a sister, Debra Rausch of La Mesa, Ca.

While in Orange County, Betty lived at Leisure World and Freedom Village. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
