Betty Cummings My Grandma
My Grandmother lived her life with an air of elegant simplicity.
She taught me to always send hand-written “thank you” notes, that peanut butter tastes best on warm sourdough bread, that books make the best presents and chocolate alone constitutes as a well-balanced meal.
I will miss the excitement in her voice every time we spoke, her ever-soothing touch, such a charming wit and only in her older age a spice of rebellion.
She is loved by all who know her and I wish her safe passage to heaven.
Until we meet again,
I love you, Grandma.
