Obituary

Bette June Hardos, passed away the 5th  of January surrounded by family members in San Juan Capistrano.

Bette was born on June 25, 1929 in Garden Grove, California, to Andrew and Mildred Andreoli. She lived in Garden Grove until the age of six, then moved to Norwalk until she married. Bette attended Carmenita Elementary School and Excelsior High School. When she was growing up, she loved playing outside with her two brothers, Jim and Wally.

During high school, she met Lloyd Hardos and they were later married. Together, they had six children, Judy, Mary, Joanne, Marilyn, Mike and Vicki. Bette adored her children and they were always the love of her life. She loved her brothers Jim and Wally so very much and appreciated all that they did for her throughout her life. She is survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Later, Bette moved to Yucaipa and loved living there. During that time, she was a member of St. Francis X, Catholic Daughters, TOPS, Red Hats, Valley Mesa Garden Club, Bunco Group and made many, many friends. She loved her life in Yucaipa and enjoyed puttering around in her yard. In 2017, Bette moved to Brookdale Senior Living in San Juan Capistrano, so she could live closer to her family and it was there she made many new friends.

Bette was the rock and light of her family. She created a legacy of love and compassion that touched the lives of all she knew. She is greatly missed.

  1. In August of 1990 we moved into a new track of houses in Yucaipa. We met a wonderful new neighbor, Bette. She lived across the street. Over the years, we became friends, attended block parties, attended the same church, and were in the neighborhood bunco group. We frequently would have discussions about the joys and challenges of life. She was so practical and uplifting at the same time, and also knew how to have a good time. I miss her smile and her genuine laugh. I do know she’s in a better place now, with no pain, and watching over her family that she loved so much.
