Margarita (Berta) Miller, age 86, of Rancho Santa Margarita, died peacefully at home on September 25th, 2017.

Born in Guatemala in 1931, Margarita was married to Louie Miller in 1964, and lived and worked in Guatemala as well as the USA. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, and worked as a Christian Science Practitioner and a volunteer chaplain in the Orange County Jail. She leaves behind her sister, Beatriz Argueta; daughters, Carolina and Diana; her son, Robert, step-sons, Patrick, and Daniel, and grandchildren Michelle, Alexandria, Shannon, Kimberly, Zeke, Leanne, and Louis, as well as great-grandchildren Adela, Eliseo, Aiden, Jenna, Hope, and Emma.

Memorial services are planned at the Christian Science Institute in San Juan Capistrano, California, in October, 2017, and interment will be at the National Cemetery in Riverside, California.

She will be missed by her family and all those she touched by her kindness throughout her life. We will always carry her memory in our hearts.
