Bert Van Dyk, May 3, 1931-July 11, 2011

Devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Bert was born in Artesia, CA, the oldest of six children to Annie and Albert Van Dyk. He married his beautiful wife, Juanita, in 1952. After serving our country in the army, Bert and Juanita settled in Anaheim, CA, where they raised their family. Bert’s career in the construction industry spanned more than six decades, and he was well-respected and admired by his peers for his integrity and hard work. Bert will be forever remembered by his family and friends for his unwavering faith in his Savior, Jesus Christ, his devotion to his family, and his willingness to lend a helping hand. He is survived by his loving spouse, Juanita; son, Tony; daughters, Cheryl, Denise and Nancy; daughter-in-law, Debra; sons-in-law, Steve, Dave and Tim; grandchildren, Tyler, Chase, Nico, Matt, Mark, Quinn, Ryley and Delaney; his siblings Betty John, Trudy Jeff, Gene Toko, and Sharon Dave; as well as a host of extended family.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 15, from 7-9 at O’Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Pkwy, Laguna Hills, CA. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 16, at 10:30 at Mariner’s Church Chapel, 5001 Newport Coast Dr., Irvine, CA. Interment will follow at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar, CA.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Capistrano Community Church, 27121 Aliso Creek Road, #115, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656.
