Benedetto ‘Benny’ Spatola, 71, was born 06/22/1940 in Sicily, Italy and passed away April 26, 2012 at home in Irvine, California.
The owner of Spatola Tailoring, Benny worked as a Tailor for 42 years.
He is survived by his wife Valli Spatola; daughters Deana Richardson, Gina Spatola and Dina Spatola; brother Sam Spatola; sisters Rosaria DiBernnardo and Josephine Fea and 7 grandchildren.

Dear Benny and family,
I’m so sad to hear that you’ve passed and it took me months to find out. I will miss your European old school charm and I’m so happy that I had at least many great opportunities to interact with you. That last piece you tailored for me will remain forever in my closet especially since it makes me look good. Will need to stay in shape for you. Wish they made more of you. Thanks for the entertainment and making Orange County look good. I always left your store with a smile.

You were a man with a passion to please others. You lived your life full of joy and with positive energy. I always felt comfortable and at home when at your shop. You loved what you did and it showed. If I could have half the energy that you carried, I would be happy. You will be missed!

Benny was a wonderful, kind, man….You were the BEST, Benny!! I loved going to see him and he always put a smile on my face….I was heartbroken to learn of his passing. RIP my dear friend, Benny! Thank you for the wonderful service, friendships, smile, and stories…..I’ll see you again someday! 🙂

Wow – I was shocked to hear Benny had passed….. The ABSOLUTE BEST TAILOR in this entire world! A friend who was so honest yet firm with the truth. I will miss you and all you had to share while you were here. The memories and stories are forever embedded into my memory!
