Obituary

Born September 13, 1930

Belia attended Capistrano High School. She worked for the United States Post Office in San Juan Capistrano for 39 years.

She lived most of her life in her beloved town of San Juan Capistrano until this past year when she moved to Newport Beach with her sister Josefina.

Belia did not have any kids of her own but she adored all of her nieces and nephews and the generations that followed.

Belia had a beautiful smile. She was gracious, loving, generous and kind.

She opened her home to anyone who needed a place to be.

Belia had strong faith in God and helped those who confided in her by sharing a reading or story from the bible. She read the bible often and she lived her life according to her beliefs.

She was an example of a compassionate faithful person.

Belia always sent beautiful religious Christmas cards to all.

She memorized everyone’s birthday and would call or mail birthday wishes. She treasured each person and she was loved by all.

Belia and her siblings were all very artistic. Belia had a beautiful, bold and colorful style.

She was an avid photographer and has 100’s of photos of the family. Belia loved to travel and visited many places around the world.

Belia enjoyed horseback riding. She crochet with bold beautiful colors and pattern. She was often found sitting in her chair reading the bible or watching a religious program.

When the families were growing up she enjoyed camping with her Family.

Every Christmas season she baked dozens of persimmon cookies for each family. Many nieces have continued the tradition.

She touched us all and taught us so much about Love and what family is and she was an example of living a life with dignity and grace.

Belia (Nini) will be missed but we know she is at peace and happy in Heaven with her beloved mother, Maria Jesus; father, Dolores; and her brothers, whom she adored, Arnoldo, Hector, Luis, Juan and Armando.
