Behrooz
Azarian
1953 – 2026
El Toro Memorial Park
11:00 am - 12:00 pm (Pacific time)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Behrooz Azarian.
Behrooz was born on May 27th, 1953 in Esfahan, Iran and was the eldest child of Mr. Mohamad Taghi and Mrs. Esmat Azarian. He is survived by his sisters Behnaz and Behrokh, his brother in laws Mahmood Hashemian and Mehran Pooladi-Darvish, and his nieces and nephews: Rojin, Roham, Arshya and Vista.
Behrooz completed his elementary education and most of his high school years in Abadan, where he formed lifelong friendships. He carried with him many cherished memories of his youth and his dear Abadani friends.
He received his high school diploma in Tehran before continuing his education in England and later here in the United States. He studied civil engineering in Denver, Colorado. In 1979, he moved to California, where he attended California Polytechnic State University and earned his master’s degree in structural engineering. The wonderful friends he made during his studies at Calpoli remained like family to him for the rest of his life. While his work and his projects were a true passion and purpose in his life, he also found great joy traveling with relatives and friends, creating lasting memories. He fondly remembered these moments and often shared the stories and happiness of those trips with others.
Behrooz was a man of extraordinary kindness, whose gentle heart touched everyone fortunate to know him. His warmth and genuine care for others made him a beloved brother, cousin and true friend to many.
He courageously overcame cancer once twenty five years ago, and for over one year he fought this second battle with remarkable strength and determination. Ultimately, he left us in peace on April 30th, 2026.
To our family, he was a source of love, strength, and connection. His memory will forever live in our hearts.
