Obituary

Beatrice went to heaven very peacefully after a long beautiful life. She was born Beatrice Valentine Witkowski in Chicago, Illinois on December 20, 1920. She married her beloved husband, Walter, on October 18, 1941.They are now together again forever.

Mother of five children: Paul, Thomas, Robert, Alice and Walter Jr. Grandmother to Meaghan and Jenna and two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Jackson. The family was everything to her and she was everything to her family.

Bea loved to garden and the garden loved her, as was evident in the beauty it displayed! People who witnessed the beauty of her garden often said “I don’t need to see the inside of the house, I would buy your home for the garden alone!”

Bea also loved to sew! She was a designer of her own patterns.

Bea loved the church and was a very active parishioner in St. Anastasia Church for fifty years. She loved to help people and the people she helped loved her. Everyone will truly miss Bea’s warm smile and her presence in our lives.

A rosary was held at Serra Chapel in San Juan Capistrano on Friday, August 21, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial at her parish of St. Anastasia was August 22, 2015 and she was laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Los Angeles.
