Barbara Ann Monfette, 74, died in her home in Laguna Woods, Ca. on Friday, January 8, 2010, after a couragous battle with cancer.

Barbara was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and married to Jean Claude who passed in February 1999, and is survived by their only child, Julie Monfette.

Barbara was a cheerful and lively lady who loved to play Bridge and Poker and to be with her friends. She loved to travel and cruise and take long picnics by any water’s edge. She was a brave, and strong lady who was quietly faithful person and a proud Republican. She belonged to many clubs in the Laguna Woods Community. She had many friends from her current Parish, Saint Nicholas, and her former Parish, Saint Barbara’s in Santa Ana. She loved to watch hockey, baseball, and tennis. Words can not come close to expressing the painful sorrow of losing her. She is so sorely missed by her daughter, as she and Barbara were also true friends and enjoyed a caring and loving relationship.
