Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Jean Feichtmann announces her passing on April 12, 2018 at the age of 94 years. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 73 years, Howard John Feichtmann and their children, Bill (Donna), Pat Dumont, Sue (Peter) Madsen and Tom (Char). Barbara will also be remembered by her 9 grandchildren, Trevor, Justin, Jason, Jake, Jenny, Sarah, Adam, Rachel, Elise; her great grandchildren and by her many friends.

Barbara was born in Osco, Henry County, Illinois on August 11, 1923, the only daughter of Elmer John and Emma Olivia Lundy. She had a very large extended family of grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins spread throughout the Swedish farming communities of Henry County.

She married Howard John Feichtmann on December 20, 1944 in Annapolis, Maryland. For several years they lived between California, Illinois and Wisconsin.  They moved permanently to California in 1954.

Barbara was active in many community groups, was an accomplished seamstress, loved to travel via cruises or by RV, and dance, especially square dancing.

Funeral Services will be held at Lutheran Church of the Cross, Laguna Woods on Friday, April 20th at 2:00pm.
