Barbara K.
Ayers
May 9, 1934 — Jul 12, 2026
Laguna Woods, CA – Barbara Ayers was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 12, 2026. She was born on May 9, 1934, to parents John and Helen Kenney in Brooklyn, NY.
Barbara spent rnost of her life in New York with her husband of 64 years, Joe, and their two sons, David and Mark. After Mark and Joe's passing, Barbara moved to Catifornia in 2021 to be closer to her oldest son, David, his wife, Laurie, and her grandchildren, Christopher and Kaitlyn.
Barbara was a very strong, faithful, compassionate woman who touched the lives of many. She loved being in nature, admiring flowers, birds, and enjoying the California sunshine. Most of all, she loved decaf coffee, sweets of any kind, and reading. Barbara was a faith-filled Catholic all of her life, and she found great joy in her church community. After rnoving to California, she became a member of St. Nicholas Church, where she was welcomed with open arms by the Faith Alive group, whose members quickly became her precious friends.
Barbara will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and servant's heart. She devoted herself to caring for her family, nurturing her friendships, volunteering, and living out her faith. Her life was a beautiful reflection of compassion, humility, and devotion, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
