  3. Dear Bill,

We were so sorry to hear about your lovely wife. Although we didn’t know her as much as we got to know you, we always knew that there was a unique relationship between the two of you. Loise was always a beautiful and classy lady every time we saw her. It was easy to see why you loved her.

You are being kept in our thoughts and prayers during this time and always.

  4. Dear Bill & Family,

I just wanted to let you know that I feel both privileged and honored to have been welcomed to Loise’s Memorial Service. I was truly moved by the beautiful tributes.

As I think of you this evening, I would like to share with you a quote that has significant meaning to me. I hope it will provide comfort to you in the days ahead. It is as follows:

    “Dear Fox, old friend…

thus we have come to the end of the road that we were to go on together… my tale is finished and so farewell.

But before I go, I have just one more thing to tell you: Something has spoken to me in the night, burning the tapers of the waning year; something has spoken in the night and told me I shall die, I know not where… Saying, “To lose the earth you know, for greater knowing; to lose the life you have, for greater life; to leave the friends you loved, for greater loving; to find a land more kind than home, more large than earth – whereon the pillars of this earth are founded, toward which the conscience of the world is tending – a wind is rising and the rivers flow”.

    – Thomas Wolfe

    Peace be with you.

  5. Bill —

I was profoundly saddened to learn of your wife’s passing. I wish I could have joined you at the services. While I never had the opportunity to know Lee directly, I felt I knew her through your obviously strong relationship. I think back, for example, of when you wanted to surprise her, I believe for Christmas, with the gift of a large Bustamonte giraffe that you had delivered to your office. Your wanted to give a big gift to a persons that you greatly treasured. And knowing your own caring, thoughtful, and kind personality, I had to believe Lee and you were similarly matched.

Bill, you have my deepest condolences and fondest thoughts. If there is anything that I can do, please never hesitate to let me know. I will give you a call in several weeks to check in.

    Warmest personal regards,

    Patrick Kelvie
