Austin Martin Williams
October 25, 1981-November 28, 2021
It is with great sorrow we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Austin Martin Williams. Austin left us unexpectedly on November 28th, 2021, at age 40. His love for family and loyalty to friends was unwavering. He will be deeply missed.
Austin was a strong force, with a wide range of interests and accomplishments. Always inquisitive and curious he explored, researched, and developed deep convictions. He was not afraid to be unique and authentic. He stood up for his beliefs, challenged conventional wisdom, and he pushed us to think. He cared deeply about people and was a good listener, and truly empathic to people in need.
In his childhood years Austin participated in the Boy Scout program and enjoyed developing his skills. He was musically inclined, learning to play the flute, and ultimately became the Drum Major at El Toro High School. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Communications with an emphasis on Video Gaming, a passion that continued throughout his life. He thrived on innovation, embraced computers and video games, and consumed all things digital. He was a creative leader and entrepreneur, always looking for ways to improve life.
Predeceased by grandparents, Richard and Celia Williams, and John and Sally Cross, Austin is survived by his parents, Don and Ellen Williams, brother Richard Williams, fiancé Breanna Taylor, and a host of family and friends. Austin will forever be in our hearts.
O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 17th at 10:00 a.m. where we invite you to share your memories of Austin. Burial will be at 1:30 pm at the El Toro Memorial Park in Lake Forest, California.

Austin and I have been friends for 25 years, and I still can’t comprehend that my buddy is gone. From the day I met him I knew he was one of a kind. While he may have presented a tough exterior to outsiders, he was one of the most caring, gentle, understanding, intelligent, and driven people I have ever met. His willingness to listen and give advice (even if it was not what I wanted to hear) was unmatched. He cared deeply for his friends and family, and would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. He kept me focused and headed in the right direction. He held me accountable for my actions and genuinely wanted me to be successful in all aspects of life. It didn’t matter what I was going through, I knew I could count on him to give me advice and help me continue to grow as a person. Some of the best moments of my life were spent with Austin, whether that was going to concerts, wrestling matches, getting hot dogs from the gas station at 2am, or just hanging out and playing video games. I met so many of the coolest people through Austin, as he is the least judgemental person I have ever met. His circle of friends is a cornucopia of the best parts of humanity. Anywhere I went with him he was the center of attention, and always had this aura around him that drew others in. I am so grateful that he and I had such a close friendship and I will forever cherish the memories I have of him and with him. He was a real one, and will never be duplicated. My thoughts are with his family, and I want to thank all of them for sharing Austin with the world. He has left a lasting impression on not just me, but so many others. See you on the other side buddy. I expect to be greeted with a slim Jim, a gas station hotdog, and a can of coke when we meet again.

We shall honor you today. We shall honor you tomorrow. We shall honor you forever. I will never look at a can of coke and not think of your original take on the greatest soda of all time. Thank you for the greatest times. My favorite of times were sitting in your car with Schwab listening to new music. Driving to shows and making it exactly at the right time. Like things would always just happen the way they were suppose to, you taught me to enjoy the little things, try new things and never accept anything for face value. I will always look at the world with inquisitive eye and ask questions because knowledge is priceless but it is to be shared, cultivated and explored.
Till we ride again brother.
