Obituary

Austin Martin Williams

October 25, 1981-November 28, 2021

It is with great sorrow we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Austin Martin Williams.  Austin left us unexpectedly on November 28th, 2021, at age 40.  His love for family and loyalty to friends was unwavering.  He will be deeply missed.

Austin was a strong force, with a wide range of interests and accomplishments.  Always inquisitive and curious he explored, researched, and developed deep convictions.  He was not afraid to be unique and authentic.  He stood up for his beliefs, challenged conventional wisdom, and he pushed us to think.  He cared deeply about people and was a good listener, and truly empathic to people in need.

In his childhood years Austin participated in the Boy Scout program and enjoyed developing his skills.  He was musically inclined, learning to play the flute, and ultimately became the Drum Major at El Toro High School.  He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Communications with an emphasis on Video Gaming, a passion that continued throughout his life.  He thrived on innovation, embraced computers and video games, and consumed all things digital.  He was a creative leader and entrepreneur, always looking for ways to improve life.

Predeceased by grandparents, Richard and Celia Williams, and John and Sally Cross, Austin is survived by his parents, Don and Ellen Williams, brother Richard Williams, fiancé Breanna Taylor, and a host of family and friends.  Austin will forever be in our hearts.

O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 17th at 10:00 a.m. where we invite you to share your memories of Austin.  Burial will be at 1:30 pm at the El Toro Memorial Park in Lake Forest, California.

It took me a day or 2 to process that you passed and that it had been a couple of years since we last saw each other.
I am sorry for not staying in touch, I wanted you to know how much your friendship meant to me and how much your enthusiasm for video games and mentoring meant to my son, he really enjoyed all of the conversations you two had and how you made him feel like a peer and not a kid. Your kindness is something I will always cherish. You will be missed beyond measure.

Words can’t describe how much love you shared Austin. I’m not one with words. I just stumble, but, I can say this the world is and forever grateful that you lived

  3. Miss you homie. You were my best friend and my family. See you on the flipside.

    1. I cherish the time we spent together over the years, especially bonding over shared hobbies like pro wrestling. Thank you also for making one of my best friends in the world, Breanna, the happiest she has been. You will be missed by all of us, but especially by my cats who loved to be with you.

Can’t believe you’re gone, man. I could never reconcile the outspoken persona you presented with the selfless way you would help people around you. Truly unique and I have so much respect for the way you’ve lived your life.

You’ll be in my thoughts forever.
