Obituary

Austin Thomas Boyd, 22, of Rancho Santa Margarita. Following a long struggle with mental illness, Austin went home to be with Jesus who he loves so very much. Son of Chris and Nancy; brother to Noelle, Christopher and sister-in-law Taisiia, as well as his loving extended family including grandfather Edward; uncles: Matt, Gary, Rick, and Paul; aunts: Anne, Beth, Ginger, Christa, Cheryl; cousins: Henry, Remie, Megan, Ricky, Alyssa, Madison, Mitchell, Jessica, and Rebecca; as well as many devoted friends.

Austin was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma but moved to Rancho Santa Margarita in 1996. He attended Melinda Heights Elementary School, RSM Intermediate, 3 years at Trabuco Hills High School and graduated from Mission Viejo High School in 2011.

Austin’s smile and blue eyes would light up a room like nobody else. He cared so deeply for everybody else. It was never about him, it was always making sure everybody else was okay. Austin loved swimming, bodysurfing, music, grilling, hiking, and his dog Rascal.

  1. Dear Nancy and Chris,
I am having a hard time finding words of comfort for the horrific pain your family is going through. But reading these beautiful letters of love warms my heart. Austin was dearly loved. He could not have had more loving parents or family.
Gary mentioned how he loved Angels. That so touched me. I truly believe in Angels. They express themselves in many ways, a dream, a whisper, coincidence, an overpowering feeling………..I think this is just another one of God’s gifts to help carry us through this journey called life. We will never understand why God called him home so soon. Our human minds will never comprehend but Our Heavenly Father has a divine plan for all of us. Right now we have the comfort of knowing His maker is holding him in the palm of His hand. Until we are all together in perfect harmony with all our loved ones who have gone before us. They are all in perfect peace and love. What a day of jubilee when we are all together in His Holy Presence. Until that time, let us hold on to one another, lift each other up when we fall down and hold on to all His promises He has given us to carry us through these challenging times.
“I will never leave you or forsake you”! God never breaks a promise………Faith is like a muscle, the more you use it the stronger it gets.
Love you to the moon and back…….Always, Mrs. Bingham
