Aurora Flores Acres

Loving mother of three and grandmother of three passed away losing her third battle with cancer on June 4th, 2012.

Devoted family member and leader, she was inspirational in all she approached, lived and accomplished.

She was a civilian government employee, working last at Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station. Then upon retirement she worked with kids at Dana Hills High School in the food service
department. She loved music from artists ranging from Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra to Vincente Fernandez and Jose Jose….She loved her glass of wine in the afternoon.

She was a parishioner at St. Nicholas Church for over 30 years and upon retirement would go everyday for 9:00 Mass and was looked on to lead the rosary. She took part in the charismatic group and taught others how to pray with her grace and elegance.

With her daughters, sisters and brothers by her side she gently fell asleep to join our Father in Heaven. Somehow her family is managing to get by in her absence by following her strength and beautiful spirit.

She is survived and missed by her daughters: Dawn, Lisa and Tricia; her granddaughters: Jayme, Grace and Faith; sisters: Alicia and Juanita and brothers: Cristobal, Raul and Guillermo Flores.
