Audra Lu Jackson-Lebs was born January 29, 1930 at St. Edwards, NE, to Harry and Ella Jackson. She attended, Nebraska Wesleyan, Wayne State College, College of the Canyons and UCLA Ext., resulting in a BA in education with emphasis on Early Childhood Education. Audra Lu Co-Founded Small World Nursery School, which just celebrated its 50-year anniversary. Audra Lu was committed to women and young children and hosted, "It's a Women's World" radio show, as well as a Children's Radio show in Alaska.
She was extremely active in the UMW organization, Eastern Star, Delta Kappa Gamma Society, Bell Choir, all while being involved in her children's 4-H activities, sports, school and family church activities.
Audra Lu and her husband Walt retired to Colorado completing a dream of running a hunting ranch named "The Broken Drum." She moved back to California after Walt's passing to fulfill another dream of theirs, to live in California near their children and grandchildren.
Audra Lu Jackson-Lebs is survived by her children; Audra Lee & husband Jim, Chrys Bossert & husband Dan, and David Lebs. Grandchildren; Jim & wife Megan, Chrystine, & husband Simon, Amanda and Amy. Great grandchildren; Braden, James, Matthew, Annie, Kate & Porter. Audra Lu is preceded in death by husband Walt, daughter Stephanie Lebs and sister Ella Jean DeMoss.
