Obituary

Arthur Aguilar
March 11, 1964 – April 20, 2026

Arthur Aguilar, born March 11, 1964, in Placentia, California, lived a life defined by hospitality, love, and connection. He had a gift for bringing people together—his home was always open, and he was often the life of the party, making everyone feel welcomed and valued.

Art was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His beloved wife, Tonya, was truly the love of his life. He cherished her deeply and always wanted her by his side. Their bond was unwavering, and he loved her faithfully until the very end.

He was a proud father to his two sons, Jake and Noah. His son Jake, who is married to his wife Kennesey, is expecting his first child. His son Noah tragically passed away three years ago, but blessed Art with his grandson, Jaxson, whom he loved dearly. It brings comfort to know that Art is now reunited with Noah in heaven.

Art was preceded in death by his brother, who passed away many years ago. He is survived by his four sisters, along with many extended family members and countless friends whose lives he touched deeply.

Art had a deep love for sports, especially as an avid fan of the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Angels. He attended many games and shared that passion with those around him. He also dedicated his time to coaching his sons’ football and baseball teams, creating lasting memories both on and off the field.

He maintained lifelong friendships from his high school years, staying closely connected through the decades. One of their cherished traditions was a yearly baseball game, a reflection of the strong bonds he valued so much.

Art took great pride in his appearance—he was always well put together, with every hair in place and his clothes neatly ironed. It was just one of the many ways he expressed his vibrant personality and zest for life.

Art was diagnosed with cancer two years ago and courageously underwent treatment. In January of this year, he was joyfully declared in remission. Sadly, just weeks later, he became ill and was hospitalized, where it was discovered the cancer had returned aggressively. He fought bravely for seven weeks before being brought home on hospice care.

In a beautiful and meaningful moment, Tonya honored Art’s wish to visit Mexico by bringing that experience to their home. Surrounded by family and friends, Art was able to celebrate life one last time, sharing love, laughter, and connection with those he held dear. Just days later, he passed peacefully at home.

Art Aguilar will be remembered for his generous spirit, his love of family and friends, and the joy he brought into every room. His legacy of love, laughter, and togetherness will live on in all who knew him.
