Anthony Michael
Martinez
November 17, 1999 – June 6, 2020
First born child and only son to Sarah Penfold and Steven Martinez. Anthony was a best friend and big brother to Mia Martinez. He was a loving grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend to many. Anthony was “the man of the house” and the love of my life.
Anthony was born and raised in Orange County California. He attended Wood Canyon Elementary School, Aliso Viejo Middle School, and Aliso Niguel High School where he made friends guaranteed to last a life time.
Anthony loved going to the Laguna Hills skate park to ride his skateboard, visit with his friends and often dreamed about getting sponsored and becoming a professional skateboarder when he grew up. Anthony had a love for nature and animals and enjoyed going to the Laguna Niguel creek and would spend all day catching guppies and lizards to bring home and show off to his family. Anthony could pick up a new skill with ease and had so many talents.
Anthony was very caring and empathetic. He was a great companion. He was a deep thinker with a very sweet heart. He was a hard worker that was new to adulthood. Anthony was still trying to figure out all of his goals and aspirations, but he did know without doubt that he had met the love of his life Yenelli Salgado and was very excited for what the future would bring.
Sadly on June 6, 2020 at 11:23 PM Anthony was struck by a car while walking home. Anthony entered the arms of our Heavenly Father and will forever know peace. Anthony’s life was cut short but his memory will live on in all of us. There will not be a day that he will not be deeply missed. We will always love him and keep him in our hearts.
Absent from body, present with God. Until we meet again.
