Obituary

Anthony Paul Caruselle (Tony) of Coto de Caza, 84, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2014 at home, surrounded by his wife and daughters.

Cherished husband of Marilyn Caruselle, his wife of 38 years. Loving and adored father of Evelyn Walker of Palm Desert, CA; step-father of Cheryl Cary of Natick, MA; Debra Fillmore and husband Blake of San Diego, CA; Tracy Cary of Pear Blossom, CA. Dearly beloved grandfather of Michelle Alexander and husband Dallas of Seal Beach, CA; Meaghan Witthaus and husband Michael of Huntington Beach, CA; Aubrie Moore and husband Kyle of Prescott, AZ; Kathryn Fillmore, David Fillmore, Stephanie Fillmore of San Diego, CA and great-grandchildren Fayme Alexander, Saige Witthaus, Preston Fillmore and Rylie Moore.

Survived by brother Lenny Caruselle, God-daughter Linda Hession, 32 beloved nieces and nephews, and numerous grand nieces and grand nephews. Predeceased by siblings Mark Caruselle, Paul Caruselle, Issy Arena, Anna Giarletta, Cate Giarletta, Josie Hession, Millie Giarletta and Nicky Caruselle.

Born in New York, Tony was a resident of Staten Island for 30 years before moving to California where he resided for 54 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War and remained actively patriotic all his life, serving in the American Legion of Staten Island. He enjoyed a long Accounting career in the freight and shipping industry and spent his leisure time enjoying horse racing, playing cards, and spending time with cherished family.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 8 at 1:00 PM at O’Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills. Following the service, friends are invited to a reception at the family home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society or Seton Foundation for Learning, 315 Arlene Street, Staten Island, NY 10314.
