In Loving Memory of
Anthony Jay "Tony" Abeyta
Anthony Jay Abeyta, affectionately known to family and friends as Tony, passed away leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unwavering love for those closest to him.
Tony will be remembered as a consistent and dependable man with a sharp wit and an independent spirit. He was an avid reader, especially of murder mystery novels, a rebel in the best sense of the word, and someone who never hesitated to speak his mind. He was honest, thoughtful, and a fighter through every chapter of his life.
One of Tony's greatest sources of pride was his family. He cherished becoming a father and worked tirelessly to provide for his children. Throughout his career as a printer, he built a reputation for being prompt, detail-oriented, and dedicated to doing every job well. His strong work ethic reflected the pride he took in everything he did.
Tony also found joy in restoring the family home in Laguna Hills, a project that reflected both his determination and his love of creating something lasting. Every few years, he looked forward to buying a new motorcycle, embracing the excitement and freedom that came with every ride.
Outside of work, Tony enjoyed reading, bowling, riding motorcycles, and watching football. While many fans remain loyal to a single team, Tony simply loved the game itself. He appreciated the competition, the strategy, and the excitement that each season brought.
His son, Jay, will always treasure the memory of Tony picking him up from elementary school on his motorcycle. It made him feel like the coolest kid around and remains one of the many moments that captured Tony's adventurous spirit and the special bond they shared.
Tony is lovingly survived by his son, Jay Abeyta; his daughter, Samantha Abeyta; his brother, Daniel "Danny" Abeyta; and his sister, Shiela Lampechkun. He will also be deeply missed by extended family, friends, and everyone whose lives were touched by his kindness, humor, and authenticity.
Though Tony is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through the values he demonstrated every day: hard work, honesty, loyalty, and living life on his own terms. He will be remembered with love, gratitude, and countless stories that will continue to bring smiles for years to come.
A memorial service celebrating Tony's life will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at O'Connor Mortuary. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of a life well lived.
