Obituary

Ann Hench was born September 11, 1929 in Syracuse, New York. She graduated from Cazenovia College and shortly thereafter married Robert Hench in Syracuse. In 1958, they moved to Los Angeles and then to Laguna Beach. Ann worked for Techtronix, TRW, Top of the World Elementary School, Thurston Junior High School and Laguna Federal Savings and Loan. Ann had a continual love for travel, reading, cooking family meals, music and film. She could name any tune or recall any list of actors in a film. She was a loving mother and wife who always encouraged and supported her family. She instilled a love of learning and courage to attempt great things. ‘Nothing ventured, nothing gained’ was her frequent reminder to all to never shy away from high goals. Ann passed away quietly Monday, September 22, 2008 in her home. She is survived by her children Brian, Barry and Sandra Hench and grandchildren Marina, Dana, Kyle and Joel Hench. A funeral service will be held at 12:30PM Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar. A reception for family and friends will immediately follow the service at the family home.
