Obituary

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you all, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and kindness, in this time of tragic loss of our beloved Anita. Our hearts are heavy, yet our memories carry us through.

The service will be held on Saturday, February 15, at 10:00 A.M. at Saddleback Church, 1 Saddleback Pkwy, Lake Forest, CA 92630, in the Plaza Room. Please RSVP to Anita’s sister, tstolinski@cox.net

Immediately after, there will be a reception, upstairs on the terrace.

And for those who would like to contribute, there will be an opportunity for a small potluck, in the Hawaiian style. Please mention it in the response to Tina.

We have set up an account in the name of “Dreamspirit in memorial of Anita McDonald” at Schools First Credit Union, for supporting those who help the homeless community. Tina has the details on how to contribute.

If you would like to share memories of Anita, there will be time at the end of the ceremony, and during the reception. Please inform Tina in your response.

We hope you can attend this celebration of a life that touched us all.

Love,
Matt, Daniel, the Viernes, McDonald, and Stolinski Families

This picture was the last time that I saw Anita. We hadn’t seen each other in 3+ years and I ran into her at Big Lots in RSM. I had just moved there and I was excited to learn that she lived there too. We had planned to go to lunch at least once a month and this was the first one. We had so much fun. The Santa there was saying making some off the wall comments and I remember that we were laughing about him and how he was a “Bad Santa”. I’m so glad that my son had a chance to meet Anita. She took pictures of my son and I that day and even a video and I’m so grateful because we don’t have many pictures together. I will never forget that day.

I was so disappointment when I found out that she passed because I felt as though we had just reunited and we would never get together for all of those lunches we had planned. I realize now and I’m grateful that God gave us that one last day together after not seeing each other for so long because He knew it would be our meeting her on earth. I’m so blessed that I had a friend like her. She was the most caring and thoughtful person I know.

Matt & Daniel – I will continue to keep you both in my prayers. God bless you.

Dear Matthew and Daniel, my heart goes out to you knowing how you must miss her so. My words cannot truly help you now, but I know His words can.

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18

In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears. He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. Psalm 18:6, 16

Please know my husband, my church, and myself have been praying for you.

In Anita’s memory and with much love, Teresa Allen

It has been such a blessing to be able to live in SoCal these past years. God has an amazing way of knowing where I need to be at the exact moment. I am so blessed I could share some moments with you at some of the family gatherings. You will be missed so much my dear Aunty. May you rest in love and peace in all eternity.

Oh my gosh “My Friend” – I miss you so much. You are the best friend I ever had. You were always there for me – even in my darkest times. You lifted my spirit time and time again. I love my bracelets that you gave me the last two Christmases. You have taught me that “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.” You impacted my life in so many ways. It seems that I am not the only one that you touched with your generous love and support. I am sure God is so proud of you for bringing so many to Him. We are all hanging in as best as we can. We will somehow get through it, but never get over it. I promise to always be there for your family: Matt, Daniel, Brandi and Danni. I love them all and they all mean so much to me, as I am sure you know. Daniel is doing okay. He says the prayer every evening at dinner and always talks about you. He asks God to pray for you – so sweet. He is following in your footsteps as a “Giver.” And he is so proud to say that he “gets that” from you. Matt’s Faith is carrying him through. He is amazing. He insisted that we still have the small group and he is Hosting it beautifully. I hope Heaven is wonderful. Now you have ALL the answers to ALL your questions. I Love You, “My Friend!”
