She was married in 1951 at the age of 17 in Yuma, Arizona to Airman Joseph Frederick Seitz.

Her husband Joseph served in the Air Force at the Strategic Air Command Base in Upper Heyford, Oxon England. She and Joseph had a cottage off the base where she enjoyed and made friendships in the Village that lasted long after the departure from England.

While Joseph served in the Air Force in England they had their first born, Joseph Frederick Seitz Jr. and approximately 6 months after Joseph’s birth Anita returned to the United States and took residence with her husband briefly in Ohio before making their permanent residence in Calif.

Initially Joseph & Anita lived on Montebello CA but in 1957 purchased a Single Family Home in Pico Rivera, Calif . At that time Anita enjoyed being a Wife/Mother and maintained a Housewife role.

In 1959 Joseph & Anita gave birth to Dawn Marie Seitz and in 1963 to Kimberly Ann Seitz.

In 1965 Anita and Joseph divorced and Anita took the role of Head of Household including all Financial Responsibilities for her three children.

Anita worked at Bank of America initially as a Part Time teller, then graduated to a Full Time Teller and Officer at the Bank. She was also employed part time in the evenings working at GEMCO as a Retail Sales Representative. However, financial demands forced her into the private business sector where she worked at Vasco Pacific Steel Company managing all their finances for 30 plus years until retirement at age 62.

In 1973 Anita with her parents purchased a home in La Habra, CA and that is the home where she resided and cared for her Parents and Children.

After retirement, Anita cared for her Mother as well as enjoying time with her Children, Grand Children and Great Grandchildren and extended Family.

Anita remained close to her sister Patricia who resides in Tustin; they spent time every week on the phone as well as visits during Holidays and Family events in earlier years before they both experienced declining health.

She also enjoyed numerous friendships made throughout her career, and she would join those friends frequently to renew friendships and enjoy a Lunch, Movie or Holiday Gift Exchange. She valued friendships and people she met in her life, always making sure that friendship was maintained everlasting with each of them.

Anita always enjoyed visitors to her home, family and friends always reflected upon the home feeling warm, welcoming, friendly, loving and supportive. There were plenty of Memories of Smiles and Celebrations, as well as overcoming Challenges with Loving Support.

Her Children as well as some Grandchildren lived in the La Habra home as adults and were always welcomed HOME to receive the Love and Support needed at that time in their lives.

Holidays were especially joyful, and she made sure immediate family gathered and celebrated those very Special Holidays of Christmas, Easter and Birthdays.

Her Patron Saint was St Jude and she made several Novenas every Tuesday to pray for help and guidance. St Jude is a Saint for “Desperate Situations and Hopeless Cases”. This was her Patron Saint especially helpful during her early years assuming all the household responsibilities.
