Andrew Howard Marsland, of Laguna Niguel, died on September 14, in Garden Grove. He was 47.

Andrew was a son, brother, nephew and uncle in a family that he loved and that loved him. He was a skilled professional chef, with a creative mind. He was a tinkerer. He could take on projects and, without any previous expertise, restore a car, or help refurbish a home. That same mind, that lent itself to creativity, was also troubled. Andrew suffered from bipolar disorder as an adult, and his mental illness and trouble with addiction, pushed him away from those he loved, and the family that loved him.

His family is comforted in knowing that his spirit has finally found the peace of mind, and wholeness, that eluded him in life.

Andrew is survived by his mother, Gail Taylor; father, Fred Marsland; sister, Rochelle Marsland; brother, Michael Taylor; niece, Samantha Taylor; and nephew, Matthew Taylor; Michaele Taylor, aunt; Donna Taylor, aunt.
