Anastasia N. Dolan
Anastasia N. Kosar-Dolan, 90 passed away peacefully at home on June 27, 2017. She was the widow of Edward (Teddy) Dolan who passed away in 1997.
Born September 16, 1926 in Eynon, Pennsylvania, Anastasia was the daughter of John Kosar and Ustina Narcavage Kosar. She graduated from Archbald High School in 1944.
Anastasia was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was a member of St. John Vianney Chapel. When her children were young she volunteered her time to School and Church activities including St. Columban’s Parents Club, PTA and the Girl Scouts. She ran a successful Sewing and Design business from home until retiring in 1996. In her free time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, gardening and baking. She made many cherished items for her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling and her weekly Saturday night dinners out with friends.
Her children, Anastasia N. Dolan, and Teresa Dolan-Breithaupt and husband Mark, survive her. Sister Rose Prunka, sisters-in-law Betty Kosar and Dolores Moon, brother-in-law Michael Dolan and many nieces and nephews, also survive her.
In addition to her husband and parents, Anastasia was preceded in death by her son Gregory and her siblings, John Brizinski, Mildred Brizinski Collins, Walter Kosar, Anthony Kosar and Theresa Kosar-Pavloski.
Anastasia’s family extends heartfelt thanks to her dear friends of over 50 years the Solverson family and the Hyepock family for their friendship and the care and kindness provided during the last 18 months of her life. The family also wishes to thank the extended Breithaupt family for always including Anastasia as a part of the family over the last 25+ years.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Anastasia’s life will be held at St. John Vianney Chapel 314 Marine Avenue Newport Beach, CA on Saturday July 8 at 10am.
A luncheon reception and celebration of life will follow at the home of her Daughter Teresa and son-in-law Mark.
